Nice but expect broken pieces
Let me start from the beginning as soon as I open the box I noticed the wood the base is supposed to come already put together but it was falling apart I guess from your delivery packaging bad packaging a lot of Splitwood have to put pieces back together add my own screws to fix up our Splitwood I recommend as other people have two free drill small holes before you screw in the screw so you don’t split any more wood one set is finally put together it does look nice but for a person that doesn’t know how to like work on things they might just decide to send this Back! Once I got it put together so very nice product but don’t expect too much for the price for the way you came I was not very happy but once I did put it together took me about an hour after I pieced everything together and ended up looking very nice but you might have to secure some pieces with extra screws which is an a big deal I guess

Cute, but lacking in quality
I ordered this Whishing well to decorate the yard. I could have had a craftsman build one, but I thought this would be just as good (I forgot..this kit came from China..scratch quality!) The instructions seemed straight forward - but there were several screws missing in the kit. I have a full workshop so this didn't slow me down. However, for someone who expected everything to be 'ready to go', they would have to run to a hardware store for a few items. I started by test fitting all the parts. This is when I saw that a number of joints were not aligned completely (photos attached), sloppy hole drilling in a number of places, predrilled holes were not sanded leaving raw wood splinters sticking out in all directions, and in one case a screw was left in a broken piece of ledgwood, etc.. (photo on the rim). I made adjustments to several places and then began coating this with a water-based varnish for outdoor use. After two coats were let to dry, it was time to assemble this kit. The instructions on Page #1 are detailed enough, and you are shown a chart on all the parts so you can match them up (a few were missing in my kit). Page #2, Step 5 is where the diagram lacks. What you see is a blank space where 'Part-E' is supposed to attach. Whether this is a printing problem or the original drawing was not dark enough to reproduce correctly, I haven't a clue, but this brought the assembly to a halt for several minutes. Also, when I did figure out where the placement of Paet-E was supposed to go, the instructions for securing it were totally wrong! This is the main timber that holds a part of the roof on - and there I no way you can secure it with '4- small wood screws'. The point bearly catches the wood. I substituted a more substantial set of screws that attached that piece to the uprights and continued. The rest of the steps were uneventful and the project was finished (photo attached). I would rate the quality of this kit a 'B-grade'. It is cute (if you don't look too closely) and it can be assembled within about one hour (if you exclude the varnish coating -- but I wouldn't if I were you.) You can take extra time to sand the parts to remove raw edges and pre-test fit everything and in doing so, get a slightly better product. Quality is all up to you.

Where to start…
Came broken in half. Sadly, the wood is that super soft junk like the kind those little wood airplanes are made of. However, I did my best to repair it and protect it from water (stain and set on bricks to avoid ground contact). It looks pretty good now and covers my ugly well head. Also, directions are a bit lacking but if you know how to build things you’ll be alright. So take what you will from this review just want you to know up front what you’re getting.

Should not be shipped assembled
This well came shattered. I would have been happy if they would have sent it in pieces and I assembled myself. But like this I am gluing and clamping up broken boards to try to repair. The screws they used are all fine thread so they pull right out. I had to switch them out.

Packing for shipment should be better
Like the look of this and hoping my son and daughter-in-law will too. The only complaint I have is that one of the corners on the well was damaged in shipping. Looks like it punched a hole in the box and got damaged.

Completely satisfied!
I searched for a certain depth that I needed. All were way to short so I got this one. It’s beautiful. I was worried when I saw some of the write ups. Yes, I needed to purchase some finish nails because the staples wouldn’t have held up. I clear coated it, let it dry, and easily set it up. Shipping was fast and it looks great! I can’t wait to give to my father for Father’s Day.
